AthleticScholarships.org Releases Division I Soccer Recruiting Guidelines for Both Men’s and Women’s Soccer

(PRWEB) February 02, 2012

AthleticScholarships.com, a leading provider of college recruitment information and athletic scholarship statistics, has released comprehensive Division I soccer recruiting guidelines for both men’s and women’s soccer. The recruiting guidelines are a top-level view of what soccer coaches and organizations consider to be the model statistics for high level, 5-star recruits. However, Division I soccer recruiters and coaches say they also take into account accolades and academics when scouting for recruits.

It is critical for high school students wishing to compete at the collegiate level to understand that evaluating prospective athletes isn’t an exact science and competition is very high in Division I soccer. The guidelines serve to help student athletes better prepare themselves for the recruitment process and increase their chances of securing a position on a Division I soccer team by understanding the ideal stats. Currently there are 204 NCAA Division I men’s soccer teams and 322 NCAA Division I women’s soccer teams.

The guidelines were created using data provided by several sources, including hundreds of soccer recruits, college soccer coaches from around the country and college rosters. The purpose of analyzing the data was to identify the model stats for soccer players that are chosen to compete at the Division I collegiate level.
