Celebrity Sighting at LEGOLAND® Florida

Prime-time child actor (and LEGO fanatic) Atticus Shaffer, who plays “Brick” on ABC’s “The Middle,” just wrapped up his all-new summer gig at LEGOLAND® Florida, an all-new family theme park under cons

LEGOLAND, FL (PRWEB) August 12, 2011

Prime-time child actor (and LEGO® fanatic) Atticus Shaffer, who plays “Brick” on ABC’s “The Middle,” took a break from Hollywood this summer to work at LEGOLAND® Florida, an all-new family theme park under construction just outside Orlando.

Calling it his “best day ever,” 13-year-old Shaffer hammed it up while testing rides, building LEGO models and whipping up kid-inspired snacks with the park’s executive chef. He even helped executives plan the park’s grand opening celebration taking place October 15 of this year.

Shaffer also became part of the model builder team and helped install New York skyscrapers in Miniland USA, the heart of the 150-acre theme park. “I just realized, I suddenly feel like Godzilla,” Shaffer said. “It’s such a magical place here.”

Season Three of “The Middle” premieres Wednesday, September 21 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.

Built on the iconic LEGO brand and focused on playful learning, LEGOLAND Florida will be the largest LEGOLAND park in the world.

LEGOLAND® Florida opens October 15, 2011 and will be a 150-acre interactive theme park dedicated to families with children between the ages of 2 and 12. Located midway between Orlando and Tampa, just 45 minutes from either city center, the park features more than 50 rides, shows and attractions. There are currently four other LEGOLAND Parks in the world – LEGOLAND California in Carlsbad, LEGOLAND Billund in Denmark, LEGOLAND Deutschland near Günzburg, Germany and LEGOLAND Windsor outside of London. The LEGOLAND theme parks are a part of Merlin Entertainments Group, the second largest attractions operator in the world.
