St. Patrick’s Day Parade is looking for Lady Leprechauns(TM) to perform in the parade & festival
Austin, TX (PRWEB) January 7, 2006
Austin’s first-ever St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Shamrock Austin Festival is looking for contestants to compete to become members of the 2006 Lady Leprechauns cheer squad. Lady Leprechauns will perform in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Shamrock Festival to be held in Austin, Texas on March 18, 2006.
The Lady Leprechaun Auditions are open to any woman at least 18 years of age.
“Legend has it that there is no such thing as a female leprechaun. I don’t buy into that. In fact, I have it on good authority that every Lady Leprechaun is beautiful!” says Darryl Mobley, chairman of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Shamrock Austin Festival.
“The Lady Leprechaun tryouts will be about who can bring the most energy and crowd appeal when performing in front of judges. Women selected to be members of the Lady Leprechaun squad will entertain 20,000 spectators during Central Texas’ first-ever St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Shamrock Austin Festival, take part in a Calendar Shoot, have the opportunity for Lady Leprechaun paid appearances, and appear on Ads and PR throughout Texas, and on the web throughout the world,” added Mobley.
Anyone interested in getting more information on the tryouts should go to http://www.KeepAustinFun.com and click on the Lady Leprechaun link on the homepage. The application and frequently asked questions are there. Interested women 18 and older should send there application in soon as there is a time limit.
The first ever St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Shamrock Austin Festival will be held on Saturday March 18, 2006 on Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas. The Parade & Festival is a production of the non-profit Grow The People Foundation. Funds from the Parade & Festival will benefit the Capitol Area Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and More, and the Austin Area Urban League. For more information go to http://www.KeepAustinFun.com.
