Village Realty Names Top Producing Outer Banks Real Estate Agents for 2011

For the third consecutive year, Matt Myatt has been named the Village Realty Outer Banks Sales Agent of the Year.
Myatt, a senior associate broker in Village Realty’s Corolla office, closed 47 transactions totaling over $ 11 million in sales for 2011. Myatt was also named Agent of the Year in 2009 and 2010. To date for 2011 he has been named Corolla office Sales Agent of the Month six times.
Other Top Producers for real estate sales for Village Realty in 2011 are:
Sarah Spencer- Silver Award for selling more than $ 9 million worth of properties. Sarah is an agent in the Corolla office. She also has the distinction of selling more properties in Corolla than any other Outer Banks real estate agent since 2009.
John Register- Bronze Award for sales totaling more than $ 5.1 million. John works out of the Nags Head office. Register was also awarded the Extra Mile Award for customer service beyond expectations…customarily given to employees in the rental division of the company.
Despite another challenging year for the real estate industry, Village Realty’s agents worked diligently in 2011 and closed more transactions than they did in 2010. While property values did decline somewhat in 2011, the agents are hopeful that property values will stabilize in 2012 and that the market will start to recover.
Collectively, the Village Realty agents were once again in the top four real estate companies on the Outer Banks, both in dollar volume and number of transactions closed in 2011. This is a remarkable achievement, as Village Realty’s 20 agents are competing against much larger firms with many more agents.
